Die 718 Cayman GT4 wurde im Juni 2019 vorgestellt und unterscheidet sich von weniger leistungsstarken Modellen durch eine aggressivere Karosserie, darunter eine niedrigere Haltung, eine neue Frontstoßstange, ein großer neuer Diffusor und weiter voneinander entfernte Auspuffrohre. Der GT4 verfügt außerdem über größere Seiteneinlässe und einen verstellbaren Flügel, der ihm hilft, bis zu 150 kg (330 lb) Abtrieb zu erzeugen, 50 Prozent mehr als sein Vorgänger. Er verfügt über einen 4,0-Liter-Sechszylinder-Saugmotor, der vom 3,0-Liter-9A2EVO-Motor des 992 abgeleitet ist und eine Nennleistung von 420 PS hat.
